Youth group help build rehab centre in Mexico

A group of teenagers worked with locals to improve the facilities of a women’s rehabilitation centre in the Ensenada region of Mexico.

Each of the 14 – 18 year olds had to raise £1,500 to take the trip and one of the highlights of the trip was playing with the children who lived with their mothers at the centre.

The centre was set up to help women specifically who struggle with drug and alcohol addiction.  Some of the stories the women told the youngsters were “very moving.”

Even though the group were working hard in 34 degree heat, when the team leader asked if they would like to do something like this again, all of them said yes.
