Rehab Centre Boss Slams Referrals
The head of a drug rehabilitation facility has claimed it was being prevented from treating Scots, and raised concerns about Scottish Government drug policy.
Peter McCann, chair of Castle Craig in Peeblesshire, said NHS referrals were at a "pitiful level" and patients faced obstacles to receive in-patient or residential treatment.
Mr McCann also said it was "bizarre" to say that the Scottish Government does not promote one form of treatment over another considering the amount reportedly spent on methadone.
