Parish meeting on drug rehab centre
RESIDENTS will get the chance to discuss their concerns about plans to develop a drug rehabilitation centre near Upper Broughton.
Proposals have been submitted by charity Teen Challenge UK to convert the Comfort Inn near the A46 into a training and care facility for young people who have substance abuse problems.
The plans have already come up against a number of objections from worried residents in nearby villages – Old Dalby, Nether Broughton, Upper Broughton and Willoughby-on the-Wolds.
A public meeting will be held in Willoughby-on-the-Wolds at the village hall tomorrow (Friday) at 8pm. Among those due to attend is a representative from Teen Challenge UK.
A further public meeting is also being planned at Upper Broughton Village Hall for next week.
