Life long Battle for Lindsay Lohan
DINA Lohan says her daughter Lindsay Lohan will have a “lifelong struggle with addiction”.
The showbiz matriarch insists the troubled actress — who recently completed a court-ordered rehab stint for drug and alcohol abuse — will never be completely free of her demons, but at the moment it’s a battle she is winning.
“I believe that Lindsay doesn’t drink anymore, and I think it’s gonna be a lifelong struggle with addiction. But I think she’s gonna be OK,” Dina said.
“She’s a young girl struggling. You know, she’s not perfect … She’s learning as she goes, but she’s learning under a microscope, so I can’t even imagine how that is.”
The 48-year-old TV personality realized Lindsay, 24, was going off the rails when she was just 18 and says her problems began when she moved to Los Angeles in 2004 and got involved with a hard-partying crowd.
“I knew early on, I just didn’t tell anyone about it,” Dina said. “It was a personal situation … But I never thought it would be like this – that the media would be so crazy. I really never thought it would get to this level. It’s been really hard on my family, harder than anything.”
Lindsay is currently battling a felony grand theft charge after being accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from Californian jewelery store Kamofie & Company.
