“Jimmy the pill” convicted this week

A drug dealer who advertised his business through his personalised number plate was jailed this week for 12 months.

The number plate he brazenly drove round in had JTP (Jimmy the pill) and an Ecstasy smiley face on it.

A raid on his neighbours’ premises, Susan Welsh of Northumberland, revealed a huge cache of drugs including pills, speed and scales.  White powder also found in the house proved to be amphetamine with a street value of £1,500.

Welsh denied sending texts about drugs deals on a mobile that was taken in the raid, and when she was arrested Taylor gave himself up to the police.  Taylor said he could not stand the guilt of seeing his neighbour arrested.
