Charges in drugs supply probe by Durham Police

Seven men have been charged as part of a Durham Police-led investigation into the supply of drugs in the north of England.

It follows raids at addresses in Darlington, Middlesbrough and Liverpool on Friday.

The seven, aged between 24 and 56, have been charged with a variety of offences linked to the supply of Class A drugs and money laundering.

They will appear before magistrates in Newton Aycliffe on Monday morning.

Three are from Darlington, two from Middlesbrough, one from Liverpool and one from Birkenhead.

The operation was led by the Durham force, and also involved officers from Cleveland and Northumbria, with assistance from Merseyside and North Yorkshire Police.
